Blushington and Veuve Clicquot partnered to host the ultimate G.N.O (Girls Night Out) at the beautiful Blushington salon located on Oak Lawn. It was a night of beauty and lots of bubbly! I’ll admit, when I first got the invitation – I wasn’t quite sure what to expect, since I’d never been to Blushington before…
But quickly upon arrival, I found out I had made the right choice in attending. I was promptly greeted by the lovely staff, then served me a glass of the delicious Veuve Clicquot Rosé, which was the featured drink of the evening – a natural choice of bubbly for the location, if you ask me, given the blushed rose’ and khaki tones that surround you at Blushington. Now, that's how you welcome a lady!
After that, I was swept away to have my makeup touched-up by one of the many highly skilled and talented makeup artists that were present for the event. Naturally, I am very particular when it comes to my makeup, so I’m always a skeptic when a brush is held up to my face. I mean – who wouldn’t? However, I was pleasantly surprised when Michael, one of the make-up artists’ that works at Blushington, effortlessly updated my makeup (that had been with me since earlier in the day), added lashes and even shared beauty tips.
Afterwards, I had a chance to meet the owners that had flown in for the event that night from Los Angeles, Stephi Maron (CEO) and Nicky Maron (CMO). What a dynamic duo -informative, gracious, warm and receptive. I was so impressed
with their concept and how it had taken off in Dallas – I begged them for more locations since I live further north, and they assured me they are working quickly to expand! Very excited about that! I was equally mesmerized that their mission which is simply to –
"Provide professional makeup applications at affordable prices in a beautiful atmosphere.”
Most places where you go to get your makeup applied for an event, come at a price of buying products, sometimes products from only one line, that you don’t necessarily want or know how to use in exchange for the service. But at Blushington, the focus is having your makeup applied beautifully the way you desire it, not being sold products. Ladies, it's all about you!
And their prices for makeup application services are certainly affordable. They do have amazing lines they use like Jouer and my personal favorite Kevin Aucoin, which is so hard to find!
In addition, they offer basic and advanced classes for women that want to learn how to apply their own makeup or take it to the next level - I already scheduled my appointment for that and you should, too!
Needless to say, Blushington it's a favorite destination for Dallas women, who are seeking to pamper themselves - And did I mention..? Blushington is co-located next door to The Drybar. Now, we're talking!
