Since 1922 the Junior League of Dallas, Inc. draws together the efforts of women to bring positive change in the society through voluntarism, training and charitable donations. The organization of great history and achievement collaborates and focuses efforts of many individuals and businesses to improve the community we know and love.
On September 27th Members of Junior League of Dallas gathered at Belk Galleria to learn about Belk’s community giving programs, and to enjoy a private fall fashion preview. The show was presented by Dianna Vanegas, Fashion Consultant and Trend Forecaster for Belk, and Stephanie Bingham, Community and Fashion Events Manager.
While sampling hors d’oeuvres and sipping champagne, the guests studied the lineup of twelve looks that showcased versatility of the feature key pieces, styled and worn in multiple ways. What I like the most in the selection is the variety of styles and choices available in the upcoming trends. Whether you tend to lean towards sporty comfort, romantic spirit, or classic elegance – you are sure to find something to please your taste.
Of course, it was not all about the fashion. The attendees learned about the three primary areas, on which Belk focuses its efforts: Education, Breast Cancer Awareness & Research, and Community Strengthening. Last year alone, Belk donated more than $19 million to its local communities. The correlation of Fashion and Charity is not always obvious, but it is truly beautiful, especially when formed in such a notable way.
