Fashion’s First Down scores!
The fame of Dallas Cowboys in the world of sports can only be compared with the renown of Hollywood in the world of cinematography. And let me tell you, Dallas’s reputation is not far behind LA, when we consider fashion and glamour. This year Dallas Cowboys Women’s Association threw another fabulous Fashion’s First Down event – an annual charity fashion show and party benefiting The Gate House and Nexus Recovery Center for Women and Girls. Charming and poised, the ladies graced the runway presenting a new collection of Nha Khanh, designed by our own rising star in the world of high fashion Khanh Nguyen. Sixteen beautiful models, including Michelle Witten and Haley Anderson (the daughter of Charlotte Jones Anderson) walked the red carpet cheered by Tony Romo, Jason Witton, the team EVP Charlotte Jones Anderson, and other members of the team. Their fresh and seemingly effortless looks were styled by Kristin Smith of The Clad Life.
The show was hosted by Candice Romo and included a beautiful and heart-felt address by Charlotte Jones Anderson. The evening positively reverberated with the lively and fun atmosphere. It boasted entertainment by Jordan Khanh band, exquisite cocktails and bites, and an impressive silent auction. I doubt the show could have been such a tremendous success if it wasn’t produced by Jan Strimple of Jan Strimple productions –the leading authority in all things High Fashion on the Dallas scene. I have to say I had a great time, and I am grateful for the opportunity to shed the light on this wonderful cause.
