Saturday May 14th marked the 10th Annual Blooming Ball benefiting AIDS Interfaith Network. If you haven’t had a chance to attend, you have missed the opportunity to see how glamorous Hilton Anatole hotel sprung into spring bloom, both metaphorically and literally, decorated with larger than life flowers and a vibrant collection of stylishly dressed attendees.
This May event is appropriately named “Blooming Ball” alluding to Hope, Growth and Inspiration. It benefits AIDS Interfaith Network and helps raise the necessary funds and offer assistance to people living with HIV/AIDS.
Event Co-Chairs and spouses Nestor Eduardo Estrada and Cesar Aragon both shared their contagious enthusiasm for the cause. I spoke with Nestor at the event, and was positively overwhelmed by his spirit of gracious giving and excitement for sharing the gifts of Hope and Renewal. “I feel that AIN is more than a charitable cause,” – said Nestor Eduardo Estrada. “Giving back to the community, helping people is a happy and organic state for me. I have personal knowledge of the difficulties people who live with HIV/AIDs face every day. Being able to alleviate at least some of their problems, lessening their burdens and making a difference is what gives purpose to our lives.”
The event was a tremendous success, filling up the banquet hall with a crowd of fashionably dressed guests, who came to support the cause and enjoy an incredible evening of excitement, elegance and fun. The program included a cocktail reception, live entertainment, silent auction, a full three-course seated dinner, and after party with dancing and entertainment provided by DJ Cesar Aragon.
