Italy’s national newspaper Corriere della Sera dishes out in its annual men’s fashion supplement by highlighting rockstar styling from two music world greats. Wearing pieces from the collections of top designers, fashion editor Alessandro Calascibetta selected the mouth-wateringly beautiful 25 year-old Alvaro Soler, whose scorchingly romantic hit song, El Mismo Sol, is an international YouTube sensation, along with Soler’s duet partner, singer David Fray, the dashing 35 year-old pianist and maverick performer.
Shot by iconic celebrity portrait photographer, Lorenzo Agius (who can boast of Cate Blanchett and Brad Pitt in his portfolio), the cover boys express
themselves as beautifully through their music as they do through their personal style. With over 69 million views on the internet, stylish Soler, who says that songwriting is a continual therapeutic process, has also duetted with superstar Jennifer Lopez. Fray also understands that image is a part of a successful career and notes that while he expresses himself through the keyboard, of course, aesthetics are an important part of a beautiful sound.
The independent styles of Soler and Fray, wearing the likes of Paul Smith, Gucci, Andrea Pompilio, Thom Browne and Dolce & Gabbana, among others, are captured for Corriere della Sera by lensman Agius and present a fresh look for Spring/Summer 2016.
