What would you do for the applause? It’s the question that begs to be answer as you watch Lady Gaga's "Applause" music video. Well, it's simple! Human nature will push its subject to the extremes in order to rejoice in the audience’s applause, which could be interpreted as acceptance or rejection from the audience. Curiously, Lady Gaga will not be short of applauses from her little monsters… Gaga’s allure has never been so intriguing as it is today.

There’s something inescapable about the avant-garde pop singer. You either love her or hate her, but nonetheless she’s sure to trapped you with her contagious beats and revolutionary lyrics. After hiatus from the spotlight, she made an unforgettable return a la Gaga!

Lady Gaga's "Applause" video is unquestionably beautiful, it's the outcome of the best imagists, stylists, lighting designers, and makeup artist’s money can buy. You wouldn’t expect anything less than otherworldly opulence and shock art from the New York born. The video was flawlessly directed by fashion photographers Inez van Lamsweerde and Vinoodh Matadin, who seem to never stray away from the spell of Lady Gaga.

As for the fashion component, you asked? For the woman who lives her life as if she was on a live-action editorial shoot. Brandon Maxwell was called to styled Lady Gaga for her latest music video, its hard not to notice this time around there’s a much tone down and

approachable Lady Gaga, despite the colorfully smear makeup.

Donning a custom Gareth Pugh cloak, which explodes around a sheer black cat suit by Mila Schön. Our favorite was the Maison Martin Margiela ensemble from the A/W 2013 haute couture collection. A replica of the bust of Chopin is cut from a Calico cotton canvas base, and embroidered with white marble tiles at the neck, black ones on the vest, and green ones on the jacket. Gaga wore the Margiela with a mirror-and-pin costume by her sister, Natali Germanotta.

An archived John Galliano sheer gown accessorized with duct tape and safety-pin baubles by Mathieu Mirano just added to the excitement. Things got steamy with a Valentino haute couture lingerie set paired with Alaïa boots, or a seashell bra worn with a bikini bottom made of shells and flowers by Perry Meek. The reveling outfit hinted to Sandro Botticelli’s “The Birth of Venus.”

"Applause," is the first single released by Gaga before her new album, "ARTPOP" drops-in stores November 11, 2013. The song and video made for a catchy combination, as usual! Nonetheless, Lady Gaga is clearly influenced by pop culture, art, fashion, and the streets it’s all interwoven together. All these elements seem to run deep through her work, which might come off as reminiscent of another song or artist we can’t quite put our finger on. That’s the beauty of it all!
