Television’s biggest stars and the who’s who of Hollywood attended the 66th Annual Emmy Awards on Monday night in Los Angeles, California. This year’s fashion choices by the nominees were quite varied (to say the less). The starlets came down the red carpet dressed in predictable designer gowns including: mermaid-styled-dresses, va-va-voom gowns, and voluminous ball gowns. We saw it all!
Oh, but then there was Lena Dunham, who made the biggest impact on the red carpet — and not for the right reasons! Dunham certainty deserved a "fashion citation" for wearing a voluminous pink ombré Giambattista Valli silk tulle skirt, which did not complimented her figure. While, Claire Danes look stunning in a red lace Givenchy Haute Couture dress, and Sofia Vergara look ravishing in a
va-va-voom ivory Roberto Cavalli gown.
Others opted for sleek and chic frocks — Gwen Stefani in shimmering Versace, Anna Chlumsky in a white Zac Posen creation. While, the rest of the Hollywood opted for typical, but non the less beautiful ensembles. Julia Roberts wore an Elie Saab Couture beaded dress, Allison Williams in a Giambattista Valli Couture ball gown, January Jones looked regal in a red strapless dress designed by Prabal Gurung, and Kerry Washington looked beautiful in a burnt-orange strapless column dress from Prada.
The 66th Emmy Awards was an outstanding night filled with glamour, laughter, arresting fashion, and of course numerous wins for both; broadcast and cable television. While, ‘Breaking Bad’ and ‘Modern Family’ took home the night’s top honors.
