Hickey Freeman Fall/Winter 2016

Ladies and gentlemen, Hickey Freeman is having a major moment in fashion. With men’s NYFW in the rearview mirror, one can simply not jump ahead to NYFW without reviewing the best collections. Hickey Freeman’s fall 2016 collection featured tailored pin-striped suits, athleisure joggers constructed of cashmere, paired with monochromatic sneakers and a “working man” aesthetic. Elements of luxury and class filled the presentation, and textiles were the stars of the show. Using highly sophisticated fabrics such as alpaca tweeds, delicate camel hair and lambs wool, the pieces embodied an upscale lifestyle. The RTW garments seemed well suited for the casual male who doesn’t mind getting spruced up. With cool elements and an overall relaxed feel, the

collection was a hit across the board. In addition to the luxe-infused menswear, the venue was just as stunning. The venue was a former substation from the 1800’s, and is owned by the director of the Texas Chainsaw Massacre. The most interesting element of the venue was the massive pool where students from Columbia University were playing water polo, while wearing Hickey Freeman embroidered speedos. Fashion has seen some spectacular fashion week venues in the past, but this one seems to take the cake. Overall, the show was wildly successful and popular among show-goers, and the collection is predicted to be a universal hit in brick-and-mortar stores, as well as online. Visit www.hickeyfreeman.com
