Jeremy Scott, “l’enfant terrible“, continues to challenge one’s sensory with his pop culture satire and over the top wacky designs. We all love him for that. I remember watching Sundance Channel‘s docu-drama “The Day Before“, I was mesmerized with his satirical, twisted and weird sense of humor. This designer got some nerves to disrupt our sensory.
Fashion needs to be fun, designs should be Moschino Fresh or Campbell Soup iconographic!
Scott is more of an artist than a fashion designer. Textile, colors and lines are his paint-brushes for telling stories in this futuristic collection, and so, the designer predicts the future with his sharp wit with this intergalatic collection. If tea leaves indeed can show us what is #trending, Jeremy Scott is mirroring our future brightly in true hue of hot fuchsia, bold turquoise and in reflective texture. Big, I said BIG sun glasses are required. He is the “Pop Art Queen” of fashion, the “King of Trashy Couture“. Scott is Cool Mint Jeremy as self enthroned on one of his sweatshirts: The Original. His latest collection is filled with Warhol, Lichenstein, Rauschenberg and Hockney. My favorite is his troop of “aliens” in disc-like dress with Barbarella sexiness.
Go vote this November, the future is bright!
